چکیده
This paper provides a simple methodology for the design of air reactor chemical looping combustor to optimize its characteristics when it is employed connected turbo expander produce power. The process, given certain objective (e.g., electric power) defines specifics, namely height and diameter, taking into account following aspects: solids inventory reactor; gas velocity; transport disengaging (TDH); concentration profile along height, dense bed height; freeboard pressure drop depending on injectors configuration. total was about 9.5 m, while diameter 1.8 m. 10,880 kg; circulation rate in 110 kg/s. operating temperature were, respectively, 12 bar 1200 °C. average velocity gases inside 4 m/s. fluidization regime resulted be comprised between turbulent fast fluidization. Further work must directed estimate reactor, which will affect plant efficiency considerable way.

Control of a Chemical Reactor with Chaotic Dynamics
In this paper, control of a non-isothermal continuous stirred tank reactor in which two parallel autocatalytic reactions take place has been addressed. The reactor shows chaotic behavior for a certain set of reactor parameters. In order to control the product concentration, an optimal state feedback controller has been designed. Since concentrations of reactor species are ...
متن کاملDynamic Model of Single-reactor Chemical Looping Combustion
The paper presents a simplified model of chemical looping combustion in a fixed bed reactor under isothermal condition. Both reduction and regeneration phases of the oxygen carrier are modeled in the single reactor model under the hypothesis of discontinuous feed and simplified reaction kinetics. This model is meant to be the simplest possible formulation for a description that incorporates all...
متن کاملUsing cathode spacers to minimize reactor size in air cathode microbial fuel cells.
Scaling up microbial fuel cells (MFCs) will require more compact reactor designs. Spacers can be used to minimize the reactor size without adversely affecting performance. A single 1.5mm expanded plastic spacer (S1.5) produced a maximum power density (973±26mWm(-2)) that was similar to that of an MFC with the cathode exposed directly to air (no spacer). However, a very thin spacer (1.3mm) reduc...
